FIRE FLYER

Effort was made to have a visual flow throughout this piece, to avoid ‘squareness’ overall by including various shapes and also using angled layout, and to create depth in the design, for example using the background skeleton outlines.

This ad is promoting the call center for support regarding the instruments the company rents out. Hazardous materials and gas detection has been a growing business area since 9-11.

CONFERENCE AD

The flyer was for a conference in Quebec, which is a big market for the company’s hazardous material and gas detection produts, since it is quite an intdustrial area. As a result the ad was produced in French only. A challenge in designing for safety-related is how to layout many partner logos in a eye-pleasing manner.

The GII headpiece is the most popular mining lighting product in North America. This ad was laid out in a kind of informative ‘brochure’ style to highlight the product features.

Corporate brochure back page

This corporate brochure marshalled heavy layering to convey depth and ‘busyness’ representing the complexity of and heightened activity required in this age of biochemical threats etc.
