The documentary interviews the actor who starred as Hoshi Momojiro, a ‘truck guy’ who drives around Japan in the iconic ‘dekotora’ film “Toraku Yaro,“ a movie that helped popularize the trend of decorating long-haul trucks with elaborately painted ukiyoe (traditional Japanese woodblock print) heroes (or villains) and electric marker lamps or andons, and stainless steel and chrome plating.

Participants in the game show appear in three card games played for 1 million yen ($10,000) prize money. There is a traditional Japanese angle — the ‘Isse-no-se’ ( Japanese ‘ready, set, GO!’ countdown) in the first game, and a ‘sugoroku‘ (Japanese Parcheesi) voting roulette in the second.

The show features a host of TV celebrities. One of them, Ariyoshi, who is known for his battle scars in the entertainment industry, seeks his revenge through the game.
